Outpatient Procedures

The latest outpatient procedures are easier on you.

At Women’s Health Care of Morgantown, our physicians offer many in-office tests and treatments that are safe and convenient, so you can get the care you need with minimal downtime.

We offer:

  • Treatment of heavy menstrual bleeding – Our physicians use one of the most effective, well-proven techniques available for treatment of heavy periods. It’s a quick outpatient procedure that requires no incisions. Recovery time is generally just a couple of hours. After this treatment, periods are shorter, lighter and sometimes go away altogether. This treatment gently destroys the lining of the uterus and is only for women who are sure they do not want to become pregnant in the future. Your doctor will talk with you about all the risks and benefits of the procedure and help you make a good decision for yourself.
  • Permanent birth control – If you’re absolutely sure you don’t want to become pregnant, this safe, simple alternative to “getting your tubes tied” may be right for you. Adiana® Permanent Contraception is an in-office procedure where tiny inserts (about the size of a grain of rice) are placed into the fallopian tubes. This stimulates your own body to grow tissue around these inserts completely blocking the tube. There are no incisions and most women are back to their normal routine the next day, with little or no discomfort.
  • Women’s Health Care of Morgantown also offers in-office tests, including follow-up procedures for abnormal Pap smear exam, and gynecologic ultrasound. We are the only practice to offer 4D ultrasound diagnostics in the area.

With our physicians’ expertise and technologic capabilities, you can feel confident in our outpatient services.
